Grats! Glad to see ya here! Dont try to test the cars limmits along with your own on the streets... Learn it in a safe, controled enviroment. That front plate has got to go, man.

I've already found the San Francisco area SCCA site, I'm planning on checking out the event at Oakland Colliseum tomorrow morning. I dont think I'll be driving tomorrow, (I dont have my SCCA membership yet) but I plan on it ASAP.

Maybe I can find someone to give me a ride around the track. :-p I'll bring my helmet just in case.

You don't need to be a member of the SCCA to enter an autocross. Go for it man, you don't have to drive any harder than you're comfortable with, and even if you go slow, you'll have a good time (and given what you've said in this thread I have a feeling that you'll be pushing too hard rather than going to slow).

Best advice I can give any new S2000 owner can be summed up in two words. EVOLUTION SCHOOL.
If there is one being sponsored in your area, sign up. It's one of the biggest improvements most of us can make to our S2000's.

Nice ride.
GPW would have been my second choice. Love the tan interior with the GPW.
