Default After Market Seat Problem solved

Since my insurance company and the Honda body shop did such a poor job of finding USED seats to replace my stolen stock seats, I have had to make due.

This is the best solution to date. The classic look is the best. Lateral support is limited but sometimes we have to trade safety for looks. This seat is more expensive than the milk crate option but much cheaper than the used, rusted S2000 seats offered by the insurance company.

In truth, I only need to drive it to storage for the winter while I wait out the insurance company.

I have the locks.... now! I'm just waiting for the insurance company to come up with replacements that are not rusted, torn, scratched with redyed leather.

There may be no support but then again, no interference with the glove box door like some after market seats.

I now have a 1 point seat belt. I guess that you would call that a tether restraint system.

From what I can tell from other posts, there are no new seats to be had. The dealer would have to assemble seats from parts. That cost is very high so they support the theft market by buying used seats at $1250 each.

Here is a shot of the rusted bottoms of the seats they found for me. this was right before I took the seats back to the dealer and left them there.

Wow, how would those seats bottoms get so rusted in the first place?

Well that sucks for the insurance co and the body shop, but that's why we have insurance right? You are right for not accepting those seats, that look like they were outside for some time.

You should be compensated for loss of use of the car if they cannot produce seats in a reasonable time frame.
