Default Aftermarket car alarm and remote-trunk opening?

I just got a Clifford Intelliguard 8000 installed, and I noticed that the automatic trunk open doesn't work from the Clifford remote. Is this feature supposed to be hookd up?

An alarm is only as good as its installation...

If the shop connects an alarm function wire to its corresponding car system, it works... if they don't, it doesn't. It's not usually about the functionality of the alarm (If you read a line-item specification in the alarm manual, you at least know that the alarm is capable of a particular function).

Thanks guys. I have to go back to get an omnisensor installed... I'll ask 'em about the automatic trunk release. BTW: They said they hooked up a trunk trigger alarm (to detect when the trunk is forced open). This shouldn't affect the function of the remote trunk open, right?
