Default Aftermarket cup holder?

OK, before you guys burn through my flame suit... Here is why I need one...

Normaly, I don't even drink in my S. However, I am going to be driving to WTD from MA (1000 miles) and I need to have some beverages in the car while I drive. I refuse to use the stock holder because it is an accident waiting to happen.

I have seen somewhere a cup holder than can be atatched where you want. Except this one had a few swivels built into it so that when the car goes around corners or accelerates the cup actualy rolls with the movement to prevent spilling. Looked pretty cool too for a cup holder

Anyone know what I am talking about or am I crazy? thanks

I don't have a link to the swivels one, but there is another one in my sig. Its good for holding bottles you can seal, but on twisty roads, I've had bottles fall out, so its not that great for holding a cool drink while you tear up the Dragon.

I believe you're referring to BCS (Beverage Containment Systems) cupholders. They're available in either molded plastic or aluminum. Check Ebay, there are usually a few vendors selling them on there.

several members have added the folding cup holder to the passenger left knee side oif the console... I gave it a twist (bobbyb) with a titanium mountain bike water bottle cage..some may think it a bit ghetto but i like the look & functionality...

Maybe buy some of the mini 8oz soda cans. They fit into the console cup holder and don't get into the way of your right arm while shifting

Either that, or place a camelback water pack behind the drivers seat. Thats what I'm going to do for a 6.5hr trip to a camping site this summer.

have you seen the mercedes g500 cup holders? I saw it at the d.c. auto show and it looked nice. It was like a little basketball hoop that can be folded. I looked around and the piece was like 60 bucks

its the sleekest ive seen yet as far as custom and its positioned exactly where we would mount the aftermarket ones; on the pass side console
