Default aftermarket suspension

hello all,
once again i apologize for a topic that i'm sure has been covered but search is still down

Anyhow, i'm looking to modify my stock suspension with a good full coil-over kit. i'm also on a limited budget so i've narrowed it down to either bilstein pss or koni yellow's with gc coil-overs. Id like something stiffer than stock and i'm under the impression that the bilstein pss kit will be very similar to my stock suspension if not, mildly stiffer.
I believe koni/gc will be the same, is this correct?

what else do i have for choices with a 1k budget?

i was also contemplating the idea of getting a set of used tein ra's, how long do these tend to last if their used mainly for daily driving with the occasional track use?

any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

I have the pss9's and love them.
Behaves just like stock on the streets/freeways.
Handles great on the track too! Well i guess that has to do with a multitude of things like tires (stock) and alignment.
But in any case, drives great, looks awesome, highly recommended!

Look at H&R coilovers as well. They're actually a little cheaper than the PSS. If you're a gold member, you'll save $120.

I have been running the T1R coil-overs for awhile and ride quality is very decent. I have been tracking with these suspension once and I like ti very much. If you want more info, you can find more info at AJ Racing
