I am thinking about replacing some of my OEM vacuum lines with some aftermarket lines. There is an engine dress up kit by "Pilot" that I am thinking of purchasing:
I've heard the some of the OEM vacuum lines have some sort of device in them which helps "regulate" air flow. Can somebody please verify this for me? Obviously I don't want to replace these lines if there are potential issues.
Your fine... the only lines you really need to be concerned with are the ones that have oil flowing through them... some of the web reinforced tubing tends to collapes over time.
I am talking about a "device" similar to that...only integrated within the hose itself.
does this "Device" have a spicific milage that it should be replaced at, when i installed a new intake recently i inspected them and it took alot of pressure to open it and allow air to flow through it, it did however still seal air coming the other way (its a one way valve). any input would be great thanks.

Tim,
I don't think I'll be messing with any oil/fuel lines.
Emil: I received my kit today but have only replaced 2 lines thus far--valve cover to intake manifold line and overflow tank line. I was going to change some more lines running from the head to the throttle body, but I got concerned about touching lines I shouldn't so I stopped.
You've replaced a lot of lines...I guess you feel comfortable with what you've replaced. I know that you can order the lines by the foot, but how did you know the correct diameter for each line? I have the Helms manual, but haven't found that information.
