So why is there no breakdown after 55? From 55 to 100 its just one age group? Really?

Polls like these are sort of like those IQ quizzes on Facebook. It's entertaining, but not a great source from which to draw any conclusions.

Plus, well, this poll was posted 4 years ago so a lot of the respondents from then are probably in a different age bracket now (unless you were already at least 50 years old in 9/2010; in which case you shall remain forever in your current status). And then there are those who have sold their car...

Seems like its a car for quarter and mid life crisis'
I think most owners are under 30 or over 50 because those are typically the ages people haven't had kids yet, or have finally gotten them out of the house.
Mid life crisis is in your 40's and it was lots of fun with all the 35ish bored trophy wives coming on the market who thought 45 was young but I digress. The folk in the middle have had to sell their 2 seaters for 4 door sport sedans with cruise missle automatics and baby seats.

Yeah, I had to wait until the kids were gone. Then I committed to dating no one with kids under the driving age, or none at all.

4 kids and I still own a S2k....

When your S2k is costing u less then internet a month ($22 a month insurance, $60 yearly reg. fees), u can afford to let it collect dust in the garage.
