Unhappy Aggresive Alignment vs Fender Rolling

so right now, i have the usual minor rubbing; the ones that occur on big hwy bumps,
or if i take those long hwy sweeper turns too fast...

i will most likely try the alignment first, since its the cheaper option,
so more specifically, my question is how bad are those alignments set up for minor rubs
in regards to tread wear?

im thinking perhaps the fender rolling would be a better money-saving choice in the long run
compared to replacing premium performance tires early due to an overly aggressive alignment...

any thoughts, suggestions, ideas; please discuss

i am aggressive alignment AND rolled fenders AND shaved fenders and i STILL rub on long sweepers or large dips (but only on passenger side), i think i shaved as much as possible already, so my next plan is to run even mroe aggressive camber in the rear. i will post pics of my current aggressive rear camber when i get home.

most 18s rub unless you roll. the offset has much to do with it.

I would say that rolling the fenders is an absolute must with any plus sizing or aftermarket wheel. I wouldn't think otherwise, because it actually makes a big difference. To answer the question- an overly aggressive alignment is silly because it does wear out your favorite and most expensive tires too quickly.
Right now, I am running US stock alignment specs, with no rubbing on my LMs with 265-35-18 on a 9.5 inch wheel in back, and 1 inch drop. I rolled my fenders first, relocated the bumper tab, and cut some material away on the inside of the bumper, and I can tell you that these things made the most difference.

I have rubbing issues - my fronts are fine though. I was dumped over 2 inches on Bilstein coilovers and I run SSR Comps 17x8 in the front with 225/45/17 azenis tires ande 17x9 in the back with 255/40/17. I just put 275s on today and I had to raise my rear suspension 1/2 inch just for them to fit. I am running around 2 degrees of neg. camber in the rear.

The car rode fine, but I rubbed on a highway bump and again when I took a corner really hard. It seems to be rubbing on the rear bumper actually. I will be rolling my fenders back a bit, and it looks like I'll have to trim my rear bumper some. I could actually lower the car back about 1/4 inch if I do the trimming of the fenders/bumper.

Good luck

^I haven't! How is that done?

I still need a new rear bumper, so I'm going to wait until that's worked out before I mess with anything back there. How exactly do I relocate it?

Good luck
thanks, im running azenis too and i remember riley (rijowysock) once refered to them
as the anti-christ to fenders because they run kinda beefy...

but im determined to make these tires work, they are so0o niice

so far i got all these options to think about...

-switch to higher springs (tein s-techs, swifts, or eibachs)

-fender rolling and bumper shaving (last resort?)

-coilovers

-aggressive alignment

so many options...so little $$$
