I am not sure if they still do this, but dealer used to offer to install disable switches. Call your dealer.

The MY06 has a sensor that measures the weight in the seat and turns off the air bag if the passenger is too light. Ive seen mine turn off when I placed my briefcase on the seat.

You should post this in the UK forum (if that's where you are from based on your flag). Laws governing this sort of thing may be different where you live and the ability to install the Honda "kit" to disable the passenger airbag will be dictated by these laws. Of course, you can illegally disable the airbag, but I'm not going to tell you this part. The official Honda kit is not a cheap process.

You cannot turn the passenger airbag off on a MY03 and, as far as I know, Honda says you are not supposed/allowed to carry a child with a special seat on the passenger side. It's in the manual somewhere
