aligning headlights...
i tried adjusting my headlights today...i found out that u can move both up and down...but you can never get rid of the center line ( __/--- ) ...or is it possible?
Almost Portuguese,
While the two beams do cross each other, they actually have the same pattern. In the US and Canada, the built-in step is lower on the left and higher on the right. The EURO (some) and JDM cars have the right side lower, and the left side higher.
Why? Well, since we drive on the right side of the street, the oncoming traffic comes on our left side. The pattern is automatically lower to help keep the light outta their eyes. Same logic applies if you drive on the other side.
So NO, you cannot adjust the notch outta the lights. Just make the two steps match up even and your set. The only way to make the steps mate up is to flip the template inside the housing, or get a JDM driver's side headlight. More trouble than its worth, and you'll have even more people flaching their lights at you.
