Alignment - change after spun out 3x
Since I spent $ to align the car before and after the track event, I want to share my observation.
'07 stock with KW V3 Coilover.
Before Track Event, Alignment is set for the following spec:
Left:
F Camber -1.71 degree
F Caster 6.83 degree
F Toe -0.01 degree
R Camber -2.87 degree
R Toe 0.15 degree
Right:
F Camber -1.84 degree
F Caster 6.83 degree
F Toe -0.01 degree
R Camber -3.01 degree
R Toe 0.19 degree
Total Front Toe -0.02 degree
Steer Ahead 0.00 degree
Total Read Toe 0.34 degree
Within 2 weeks after alignment, I did track event.
Spun out 3x. One Clockwise at 60MPH, Two counter clockwise at 90MPH. Went over the track shoulder and into the grass. No hit to any suspension or underbody parts ...just spinning out.
Re-check alignment within one week, same dealer and equipment, and here is the measurement:
Left:
F Camber -1.68 degree
F Caster 6.89 degree
F Toe 0.05 degree
R Camber -2.98 degree
R Toe 0.11 degree
Right:
F Camber -1.67 degree
F Caster 6.87 degree
F Toe -0.10 degree
R Camber -3.02 degree
R Toe 0.24 degree
Total Front Toe -0.05 degree
Steer Ahead 0.08 degree
Total Rear Toe 0.35 degree
There are certain repeatibility and variances in measurement but I think the high speed (90MPH) counter clockwise spinning affects the Right Toes setting the most.
As the Right Front Toe went from -0.01 to -0.10.
What do you guys think?
