Default alignment question.

Hi guys,
I have a dumb question.
I had a accident couple month ago, and i had to replace my wheel due to the damage. So i ordered new wheels to the shop so they can do alignment after they get it.

When i got there, they had rear and front wheels swapped around and had alignment done that way as i suspect.

And that time as a car newbie i just told them that its wrong and ask them to swap the front and rear.

Now my question is, is that alignment would cause any problem on my car?
I have no clue on alignment or suspension related issues ....
Please tell me if that would have caused any problem on my car since i have ran on that spec for more than 10000 miles now.

And how much does alignment cost?

Thanks in advance.

well considering the rear hubs are smaller, when they put the rears on the front they weren't sitting flush. i suppose the alignment could be off a bit, but it shouldn't be a big deal. just go get an alignment done.

if you're due for some tires, get them before doing the alignment.

and around here an alignment costs $40-60 for the front and the back is an additional $30-40

I would definitely get an alignment. How much does it cost? Where do you live? A fair price should fall in the $70-130 range.
Where to take it? Call around to find somewhere that is able to align a S2K. They will need some boards or ramp extensions to get it on the rack. Ask them if they will align it exactly to spec. You can find them in your owners manual if they don't have the updated software for an AP2. My specs (MY 04) are on page 188, I believe:
Front
Castor 6.0 degrees L&R
Camber -0.5 degrees L&R (neg 0 degrees 30minutes)
Total toe 0.00 in.
Rear
Camber -1.5 degrees L&R (neg 1 degree 30 minutes)
Total toe 0.15 in.
Thrust angle 0.00
Your specs should be the same.
I emphasize insisting that they align it exactly to spec, not within tolerance. Also, ask if you can sit in the drivers seat to assist during the alignment, or have one of their employees sit there to assist. The alignment will take approximately two hours from setup to breakdown. Good luck.

i think that you should post up the "where to find it" in your local club on this board...
i take my car to a local shop that does high end cars and they do an "aggressive street alignment" on it. thing runs like its on rails when they finish! this place charges $75 for front and rear.

cant believe that someone would put the rears of our car on the front and not know that its wrong!!

btw, a good alignment shop can also see if there was any damage to your hub or other parts when they are doing the alignment. they can also probably replace any damaged parts.

ha, when i got my winter tires put on for the first time, i had 205 and a 225 on the front, and same with the backs. the kid's excuse was that most people that get winter tires get them in the same size all around. which is true i suppose, but don't you read the damn tires at all?! i probably shouldn't have gone to firestone.
