Like you I spent alot of money on stereo upgrades, but now I'm in the process of removing all of it because even with high quality components it get's washed out by the droning sounds of a well modified engine.

As you can see I had about 3 different setups in the car. The current setup is much louder than the engine, exhaust, or anything else. Don't lose hope, just re-engineer your solution.

I just added up all of the cost of all of the parts. I left out some of the items that were trade-ins (some of the stereo stuff), and I didn't include installation prices at all. I've spent $21,130 on modifications. That also doesn't include parts I bought to fix my car. If I threw that in we'd have another $7K or so.
