Default All Motor s2k heads!

I'm going all motor with my s2k. i know there's not a whole lot you can do to get power, but i'm curious what you guys have done. i thinkin of getting an amuse hi tech rom.(so far that's the only good ecu i can find for s2ks). but still, i'm stuck here. beyond intake, header, exahaust, throttle body, and ecu, i dunno what else to do to pull another 5-15 hp.

doesn't toda or a similar company have a 2.3 litre stroker kit that claims to put out 280hp?

If you're just looking for an additional 5-15 hp and you already have the mods that you mention, you can put some Toda cams in. You'll have to pull the head to install the valve springs (which are required), and if you can afford it, you might as well get a competition P&P on the head while it's off.

The Toda Spec Av2 cams (along w/ a mild P&P which can be performed by Marcucci Motorsports, locally) made about 5-7hp from 5000RPM to redline when my car was otherwise stock. With all of the supporting mods that you have already mentioned, I'd guess that they would make 8-15hp.

PM marcucci if you want somebody in the Dallas area that can do the install & work for you.

Here's my dyno which compares my baseline with the results after the P&P and cam install by Marcucci Motorsports.

If it is horsepower or torque you're after, other than forced induction, probably the smartedst thing to do is to trade for an '04 or '05. You'll miss the 9K revs. You'll need two shifts to get to 60 mph. You'll miss the VTEC transition kick, since the transition is smoother.

You'll get smoother power delivery, more hp and torque and a full warranty. Not a bad bargain.

As for myself, I haven't learned how to use all that my '01 has yet.

Can someone explain to me briefly why a P&P nets HP?
