? for All w/ Fito FPR
How long does your fuel rail hold pressure after turning ignition off? Mine bleeds down to 0 psi indicated on FPR gauge within 30 seconds or so.
I though the fuel rail was supposed to hold pressure for a long time (hours).
What do you see?

The FPR Fito sells will discharge all the pressure almost right after turning off the car. The stock one holds the pressure.
This causes the car to take a little longer to start as the pump has to pressurize the whole system again.

So the only proven way to get more than a couple HP for less than $4000 and nobody is in the least bit curious what effect this small hitch w/ the FPR might have. What the hell is wrong with you guys?
Everybody's all proud of the NO RICE content of this board, be proud of the no tech interest too while you're at it.
I issue one (1) RICE DEBIT to anyone who doesn't chime in on this thread and ten (10) additional DEBITS if you have an FPR and aren't curious enough to keep this thread alive until a satisfactory answer drops out.
BTW, Pepe gets eleven (11) RICE CREDITS to his account

I think what RT is eluding to is some of the major problems which used to occur in other cars which would lose pressure too quickly. Fuel would end up leaving the pump, and then the pump cavitates, and then the engine no starts. Primarily a hot weather problem I would assume, RT? Is this correct? Is this why you ask about temps?
I remember this occurring on my old Audi thing, or was that a volkswagon thing.

Just about every auto mfg goes through the bother of holding the fuel rail pressure, check valves and what not. So what are we giving up? I'm sure if Honda had the choice between leaving hot fuel under pressure or not, with no recourse either way, they would choose to let it bleed back to tank if not purely from a safety stand point. They didn't, they went with the more expensive, "less safe", method of holding the pressure, why?
It would be nice to know what we are giving up instead of burying our heads in the sand. At that point each of us can make a conscious decision if we can do without whatever benefit Honda (& everyone else) intended. You know what I mean?

What do you get if you start with 887 Rice Boyz and let them stew for 10 to 20 years?
Answer: All the members on this board minus 5!
I don't want to see anybody accusing anybody of being a Ricer or claiming they're not because collectively you pretty much all ARE. Just take a look at the active threads on page one, over 90% stewed rice.
Never thought I'd miss the likes of VaporTrail, although he was only close to being right most of the time, at least he was interested in discussing technical issues (unlike 99.439% of you P'sOS).

Either that or they ate too much turkey.
