I'll save my 313 dollars and take some foam from the bottom for the same effect
One OEM seat is around $4,000 from Honda.
IMO, $300 and change is a no-brainer compared to ruining the seat.

I lowered my drivers seat by reshaping the seat pan itself. I tried trimming the foam but Kodokan_4 is right, it screwed up the fit and comfort of the seat. I wound up putting the foam back in place. It took several tries to beat the seat pan to a shape that gave me what I wanted but I'm happy with it now.
If I'd had known about this when I first started playing with modifying the seat, I might have gone for it but now, that $313 seems kind of steep.

$313 for 4/5 of an inch. Two centimeters. Makes a 6' 3" person fit like a 6' 2.2" person.
Hmmmmm....
I need to lower my seat, but I'm going to try the pound the pan method.
I would pay $313 for a two or three inch drop, but i don't know if it's worth it for less than an inch.

I know people laugh at 4/5 of an inch... but if there was a practical way to lower the Miata seats 4/5 of an inch, I would own a MSM right now. If your head touches the roof, sometimes half an inch means the world.
The "4/5" of an inch is not really accurate. They mean 80% of an inch (25.4mm per inch). This actually converts to .787" or 25/32 of an inch...
Having tried pounding out my pan, with NO visible change, I'm very interested in this product.
