Default Almost had one

So, been really excited to come back to florida from my 3 months deployment.. First thing i said i would do was go find an S2k and make the purchase... Well this morning was that day.. I was so excited that i woke up at 6:15am (was supposed to wake up at 9), called my friend and together we took a 3hour long road trip from orlando to miami to pick up a BB AP1. Excitement is getting bigger and bigger the closer i got to the area.. At 12:40 we reach the dealership, first thing out of my mouth is "Holy shit, we drove doen here for no reason" .... The place looked that sketchy. So i walk up to the car and sees scratches all over the place, rear bumper is black and red, rear bumber is pulled out of place, find out that the car was previously boosted by some idiot who didn't know how to take care of the poor vehicle, interior was shot, softop had no rips (probably the only thing that made me stay), the right wheel was missing a stud (where the lug nuts go in), the trunk was destroyed, had a civic radio in the dash that didnt work... Basically just a mess if an s2k for 10grand.... So after seeing all of that i actualy decide to test drive it to see if i could find some good out of this car.. So we start the car up and the shift knob is shakin like its in the middle of an earthquake (very sketchy). I take her around the block and stall out 2x (come to find out it had a stage3 clutch in it) getting worse and worse.. So i let my friend in the driver seat and let him do some rolls... Now mind you neither of us has touched Vtec yet at all! All together me and him do 4 runs around the block not hitting vtec. We bring the car back and complain that the car feels very rough and sketchy. So after talking with the dealer, we decide to take one more run since we just found out that its stage3.....Here's where it goes from "i may buy the car" to "screw this crap im going home" . So we drive down a quarter length then turn to head back.. My friend gets in the driver seat and we start driving back. He states "man we gotta hit Vtec at least once before you make a decision Greg" . I agreed and he shifted to 3rd and went up to 7300 RPMs.... Before we could even get to 8k, BOOM!!!! Big explosion pops out of nowhere... Im sure the savvy owners already know what happens... I quickly get out of the car to the sound of gears continuously grinding. Even though i didnt want to look, i bend over and look under the car, lo and behold: we got like 30 pieces being chunked out of the diff.. At first im just shocked and then i start laughing. I was so amazed that i was actually thinking of buying that trap to drive 3 hours home.. That dealer would have screwe me over and let me drive away with that piece of crap. So we start walking back to the dealership and he walks up to us and asks "what the hell happened?" we tell him straight up: the diff blew hahahaha. So first thing he says is that "no way man, you guys broke the car, you were driving it way too rough, it was working perfectly fine when you showed up, so you gotta pay to get it fixed." about now im rolling on the floor laughing in my head. He never made neither me nor my friend sign any paperwork stating that any damage done while test driving would be on us (i sign it always at non sketchy dealerships ) so we get in a quick argument, ten stop, get out of the rain, then argue some more.. In the end he took my friends information and left on another 3 hour trip home without an S2ooo.. Sad day for me, but at least i didnt buy it. Thanks for reading, i didnt mean for it to be that long

That's funny as hell. Don't get too anxious and just take your time, you'll find the right car.

Reminds me of my story back a couple years ago
I saw this really clean Honda civic so I went to test drive. The owner sat in the passenger seat, my friend who came with me sat in the back.
During the test drive, I started off reverse out of this guy's driveway, shift into one, and starts hearing stuff grinding. Neutral and back into first again, same thing happened. Shift into second instead of one, same grinding noise. Then the guy started saying how I broke his transmission and demands $5000 for repair.
Glad my friend was taking random videos in the backseat and caught everything on tape. Cops came, my friend showed the video to the cops, and the guy almost got charged with fraud
