Anyone have any suggestion on where else I can place the front license plate other than factory?? Inside the grill area seems most logical but does that have any adverse "cooling" effect on the radiator? If not the front, would putting behind the grill be "legal"? TIA, Dave.

 

This is the best alternative i have seen - anything else is either illegal or significantly blocks the rad intake - or mounts to the driver or passenger side of the bumper and looks just awful.

Road Rage gave you the answer. I have it on my '04. Makes a world of difference for those of us in unenlightened States that require front license plates.

 

I bolt mine directly to the bumper, without using the bracket - doesn't look too clumsy. The threaded holes in the bumper fit perfectly.

I use a thin pad between the plate and bumper, and tighten the bolts only snugly.
