Aluminum Voodoo -- Spun OR Pearl?
For anyone who owns or has tried the alumiminum Voodoo shift knobs, which one is preferable-- SPUN or PEARL?
i don't think i want to pony up for the titanium and i'd like to get the six speed shift pattern engraved onto the top of the knob...
thanks

I have the pearl and my buddy has the spun. The spun feels much better to me.

Pearl, no engraving (if you have to look, you're in trouble)...
In theory, the powdercoated clear coat used to create the pearl finish 'should' make it more resistant to scratching and discoloration from "stuff" associated with your hand than nude spun aluminum. Then again, you could always turn your spun aluminum nob into a polished one to take care of future blems with a lot less effort than having to initially strip off the powdercoat.
Of course, like other all-metal shifters, it will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter when you grab it after the car's been sitting for a while. I'm thinking the $21 leather shifter cover will be acquired here in the next week or so as we're starting to see temps in the 80's already.
