that is always the real case. they use the 9k redline to justify it.

i have a 00' and trust me dude, if u can get a 02'-03' get it. i wish i waited a bit more

the 02-03's come stock with a glass window, and a remapped ecu. also if it matters to you, the 02-03s come with a chrome ring in the taillights, and a tad bit better door speakers.

BUT there is nothing wrong with the 00-01's i herd the suspension is most stiff on those model years

GL with your hunt, and post up when you do find one

I don't think that's always true. I could've easily bought an AP2 but I like the AP1's more.

I have a 00 that I track. It's been just as reliable as any other Honda product, really. Mine has 35k miles now. I haven't had any of the typical issues even after all the track time is seen. Just look for one with low miles and in good condition.

I'd prefer the 02-03 though, simply for the glass window top. The plastic window was killing me so I replaced the top. It was a real PITA.

If i could do it all over again, I woulda got the 02-03.

I bought the car with the lowest miles I could afford. That being said I love my AP1 in every respect. The only thing I envy of AP2s are the headlights. Oh and the obligatory 9K ftw

and the OP. Don't be worried about AP1s, just watch that oil!

As with any auto purchase,I would recommend anyone to buy the newest & lowest mileage make/model of your choice that you can afford.
