Default Am i missing something on my floor?

I was checking out this guys fllor while at an autocross and noticed this blue S2000. I went over to talk to the guy, Mark is cool, and he had floor mat locks! My floor mat has a hole in it but theres no little rod in my car...just a hole in the carpet. Its a 2000 S2K. Should I have one/can I get one?
Thanks

There should be little posts sticking up for the floor mats to lock onto.

I think sometimes people take those little posts out so they can put in aftermarket mats.

You can probably get another one at the honda dealer.

I think year 2000 didn't come with as many anchors. You can buy them separately.

My MY00 has a single anchor, on the left side. I assume that since the MY00 cars did not come with mats by default, the post came as part of the floor mat option. I suspect that when floor mats were added to your car, the post was not installed for whatever reason.

Look through the parts listings of 02+ cars - a "Holder, floor mat" part or some such is four or five bucks.

No, they did not. It was an option. You had to pay extra for them back when the car was released.

Yep. Floor mats and windscreen were optional dealer add-ons.
