I've let my 17-year-old daughter (also a blonde, but a 10!) drive my S2K a few times. With me in it, of course. She's an excellent driver, but I asked her to shift at 6000 rpm anyway. This was because she's not used to a short-throw 6-speed, and it would save the engine in case she got the wrong gear on an upshift. You shouldn't redline this car until you're completely at ease with the gearbox.

No regrets. I may even let her out in it solo. In a few years, that is.

if she has no interest in you you're nuts

if she has some interest in you well then it's excusable

The question is, "Did you get any from this experience?" If so, you did the right thing. If not, it was a bad desicion.

Nah, you're not stupid. Obviously you trusted her enough to drive the car. heck many of my friends droive my car before it even had a thousand miles on it! As Tokyo James said, "It is just a car and you have insurance..."

Besides, sounds like a cool friend to have and if it leads to more, then thats cool too. Amazing what a pair of beautiful blue eyes can do to ya.

Beautifull women have brought down powerfull nations! They have conquered the strongest men!

I wonder what your reaction would have been if she would have jumped in your car and done a 7K RPM launch and was heel/toe shifting as she did a 4 wheel drift into her parking space!!!! Hmm if that would have happened maybe there would have been wedding bells!!! hahahaha

You obvioulsy enjoy driving your car and it brings you joy. You just wnated to share your joy with someone whom you think is special. No biggie... it prob made her day that you trusted her enough to let her drive it.

cool story

I was thinking about letting a very close female friend of mine drive the S2k, but after seeing so many crash stories here that start with "so I let my girlfriend drive," I've reconsidered...

None of the girls I know are used to high-performance RWD cars, most are barely passable with a stick to begin with. Be careful who you let behind that wheel!

PS- You're obviously still alive, and hopefully you'll get some, so you're probably not that stupid

MACe, back before I had a girlfriend I would have done the same thing every time.

Now of course I let my girlfriend do about whatever she wants
