Am I too tall for a S2000?

Default Am I too tall for a S2000?

Just wonder if anyone out there is approx. my size (6'4", or 1,92m) and if he's getting along with the S2000, even on long trips.

I'm counting on buying a MY2002 in spring of next year and will of course test drive it before, but I just wanted to check beforehand.

Thanks!

Dan

I'm 6'4" and have no worries about being comfortable in the car. I did 1200 miles in the first 4 days I owned the car including some practically non stop 300 mile trips (stopping briefly for petrol and to check the oil) and didn't suffer at all.

I have maybe 2" of room above my head but the seat has to be all the way back on its rails so you can forget putting anything behind it.

Take the test drive though, I know some pepole who have sat in the car say it feels a bit closed in, I love it though as it makes me feel "as one" with the car

I gave a lift to a friend who is 6' 4" and he only just managed to get into the passenger seat, though he is quite a large guy as well.

I would strongly advise a test drive, even if you fit, you may not feel very comfortable......

Okay, then. I'm only 6'1, so I'm guessin' that the S2000 is not too small for me?

comment from a 6'5 friend after getting in the car.. 'wow i have more leg room in here then the Trans Am.'

haha.. although when i put the top up.. it just about skimmed his head.

only thing i worry about is i'm 5'11 heads just over the 'roll bar' so i guess i'm screwed if i ever roll it.

The main disadvantage I have found at 6'4" is the helmet hits the cross bar in the top when I sit back. I have to tip slightly forward for the helmet to clear.

6'3" and fit decently. Keep in mind though, that the passenger seat area is much more cramped. I barely fit as a passenger (which I never thought to check when buying.)

I'm another 6'4" guy that says "no problems". In fact, fit is one of the reasons that I bought the S2000. Every other roadster that I could afford (Miata, Z3) was too small.

If you need more headroom, I'd suggest the Bulletproof side mounted Sparco roadster seats. You should pick up at least an extra 2" of headroom, maybe 2.5" of headroom with these installed.

I think I might do this mod. I'm only 6', but have a fairly long torso, and my head is above the rollbar.
