Default Amuse front lip VS Spugen copy

hi...ive been contemplating on getting a front lip....i really like the amuse design since its simple....i just wanted to know if there is any difference between the real amuse lip and the spugen copy.....the spugen one comes pre painted but id rather pay more for the amuse if there is a visual difference in both....please give me feedback if you own the real or fake lip....also...is there any place where i can buy the amuse lip and get a good deal?

ps... have you guys seen the s2000 modulo on the march 2003 road and track??? it comes with the cleanest front lip, side skirt, and rear lip and spoiler i have ever seen and its oem.... does anyone know where i can get one? would the dealer sell me it? how much would it cost>?

david,

well theres probably zero or a very small difference between the two lips. im sorry if i sound harsh but you have to be kinda naive to spend 500 dollars on a amuse lip when prepainted copies can be found for around 200 dollars. what justifies the price difference? not a damn thing. they are both fiberglass and probably will both shatter if hit hard.

about the modulo i doubt if its even available yet. it was just recently introduced so probably will release it to public later on. however i can say that the modulo parts wont be cheap at all.

I thought painted copies ran around $300 plus shipping? Not trying to be nit-picky, but I'd be interested in where you've seen them for $200. Is that the spugen price?

I heard that the AMUSE have a better fitment too, the copies leave a little gap near the sides.

Have you looked at the OEM lips? I just orderd one. I went back and forth for awhile and finally decided on the OEM, as it looks a bit more "clean." Here you go.

Check out www.teamspugen.com, 245 + shipping. Comes pre-painted. Trust me the guys at Spugen will not let you down.

as far as fitting goes, the authentic amuse has gaps on the sides as well. so VERY little reason to go real amuse. I shattered one, hoping to get it fixed ( i didn't know you COULD fix them), but also put up for the spugen one. So, either the real amuse will be a backup or a seller...will let everyone know when I do. Layters...

You've got this reversed, usually the good copies fit a little better. I bought the Spugen ($290 painted and shipped) and it looks very good. I just received it yesterday so I can't comment on fitment other than what i've heard. There is a long thread in FS/WTB forum about it.

Edit: oh yea, real Amuse is $400 unpainted and without shipping, so add at least another $150 to that for painting and shipping.
