There's your first problem

And I don't even want to touch the part about him thinking your lip is too tight

Okay..... ......back on topic......

I helped Hatty Matty install his replica Amuse lip. It shoud be tight, but if you have already painted it and there is enough lip on the sides sand a little of the edge down to help it go on. Tight parts are nice, but too tight can cause the clear coat to crack during installation or heavy flexing while driving.

The lip bolts on from the bottom exactly where the OEM lip would. If there are no holes, it may be easier to remove the bumper, place the lip against it and use a sharpie to mark where holes should be, then drill. Then it is just a matter of reinstalling the bumper to make sure your plastic shields/guards are secured then install the lip with some bolts. You can alway just buy some self tapping screws and drill through the bottom. Don't forget to drill through the part that lines up with fender well!

I don't know if you can see it in this picture, but Matt bought his used from Terry@Spool Turbo who tried to fit it around an already stretched bumper from a big old intercooler, and had to cut the top edges that almost go into the fender well to get the fitment better.

Thanks Alex... yes I can see the cut. Well the lip is used and its already NFR but it does need to be re-painted. I wish I could bring it down to the mod day with me but probably can't fit ya know... we'll see how it goes. Are you coming up for the Evo meet?
