Default amuse R1000 question......

This is my 1st post, i just recently joined, but im always on this website, reading posts, its a great community forum....well a quick rundown of me b4 i get to my question...im 19, Colombian, live in NY, i bought my own 2003 sebring silver s2k im december paying it off monthly, basically my whole check goes to citibank for the car note, i pay my own insurance, but i dont complain, since 1999, i fell in love with this car, so im beyond happy...jus wanna say this is one the greatest websites ever....aite let me get to my question....

Im into imports alot, ive been doing my research....amuse R1000, enough said.....my s2k is driven only in the weekends, or when im free from work and school, so its not daily driven, i say this because obviously, the R1000 is straight pipe, and especially here in NY, getting a ticket for a loud exhaust is a good possibility, but knowing that, ill be very careful, but i was jus curious...is it bolted directly to the header or am I going to have to buy another piece to connect the exhaust with the hearder, for example, ive seen these pieces, test pipes, same size as the cat, is that a replacement for the cat, or its irrelevant to the amuse exhaust.....?

The Amuse R1000 bolts directly to the header. No additional parts are needed. To install it you would remove the stock exaust and stock cat. Then install the R1000.

Disclaimer: I don't own, and have never seen a R1000. So this is conjecture based on the R1000 specs and the logical installation process needed to install one.

Someone here has one and boy is it LOUD. But it does have a nice deep tone to it.
If you really are looking for a performance exhaust. AJ-Racing is making a new 100% Titanium T1R and only gonna cost ya around $1500 CAD and weighing only 11lbs with the straight pipe. It has the same design as the SS T1R and the same performance gain; 12HP to the wheels...dyno'ed too.

I've read somewhere that the R1000 only gives you around 13-15HP but due to the loudness, not a lot of people have it.

Just something for you to think about.

Well, the prototype is on AJ PwR's car right now. There's some minor stuff that has to be fixed up. I'm guessing, for sure within 3 months they'll have it for sale.

NOW I'm regretting NOT taking the pics when the exhaust was on the display racks. I'll see if the mechanic is gonna drive the car tomorrow or not, because AJ PwR is out on a business trip right now.
I will try my best.
