according to 2002 year end stats the J's racing car was putting out 285wrHP

amuse' was putting out 267rwhp

i'v been looking at their products(both companies) and trying to understand how j's got more HP...

changes to both cars..

exhaust
ecu
headers
intake

j's had extra things like , port and polish in the intake manifold, also had larger throtle body, and increased diameter exhaust ports...
is that enough to account for

can anyone tell me how j's got more hP? 18rwhp?

 

i read somewhere that the j's race car had the 2.2 stroker kit.

 

interesting... on the topic of stroking i spoke to a guy who usualy deals with rx7 and he now was interested in working on a s2k. He seems to thing that he can get the s2 motor to 2.5L... i told him that pretty impossible because when feel's company did the 2.3 there was little room for more...

 

a 2.5 L "f20c" would be interesting but as you said yourself, it's impossible.

 

suzuki has been working on a new v8 that is 2.0 L making 320HP that is the same size as the f20c...maybe honda can barrow it for the next s2k =)

 

j's does not have the 2.2. J's has a full engine tune including boring, port and polish, full balance, blah blah blah. Definitely not 2.2 stroked engine though. Not sure how they bored the engine though if Super taikyu Class 4 limits you to 2 liters. Maybe they bored and destroked.

 

if u bore and stroke to 2.2l and then destroke to 2.0...isnt that illigal in the c4 class?

 

i don't know, I'm just going off of what's on J's site and in hyper rev #76

 

you could probably get close to 2.5 if you bored and stroked the engine.

 

i want to see the s2000 compete in the gt300 class of the jgtc and kick the mr2 spider's behind.
