Keep in mind that not every engine that come's out of the factory is the same. These engine's have minute difference's between them.

I believe gear's give a pretty good bang for your buck as well.
Yes gears are probably the "best bang for buck" mod...but they don't actually add hp, thats why I didn't mention them.

And also, to the thousand of dollars again...yes everything combined can be thousands, but an EMS alone can net a 10hp gain as this dyno shows...it is an untuned EMS vs. a tuned EMS or at least thats how I understood it.

Lastly, I already have a comptech flywheel, and 4.57's are on my future list...so sure I'll race you jwa4378. And with a combined 15-20hp over a stock S THROUGHOUT the powerband I'm sure it would be an easy enough win.

Hygiene boy, I agree, and I understand that if you raced the other S2000's it wasn't a huge difference, but I'd have to say that if the guy that dyno'd in the 180's raced the guy in the 200's then there would be a noticeable difference.

to be honest getting a fuel system without any power upgrades is useless..... 1500 for aem for 10 hp? should save and go fi. those numbers 205 seem about right for the mods u listed

WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT WANT TO STAY NA! IS THIS USELESS?

What about people that aren't sure if they will go F/I? Could this be a great supporting mod for future mods?

Geez...people and their hp...don't get in the way.

Well when many people do a $500 or more EMS or VAFC, $1000exhaust, $200-$1000 intake , $500-$1000headers and other associated bolt ons .............that can definately get into the thousands of dollars range and not gain much more than 10 combined horsepower if that.

The T1R header back has been dyno proven to produce gain's of up to 12 hp. I'm sure the J's racing muffler would produce more than that. A mugen header alone has been proven to produce up to 12 hp in the "mid range". A VAFC can produce gain's of up to 10 hp by itself.

A VAFC, T1R exhaust, AEM intake can produce gain's of up to 20 hp. This is what, around 1,500 worth of n/a mod's, not the thousand's you claim???? If you want more mid range power, for around 1,300, you can install a Mugen header that will produce gain's of up to 12 hp in the mid range. Although this header may only add 1 hp overall in the peak range, 12 hp in the mid range is well worth it IMO.

So for 2,800, you will yield some pretty decent gain's without going F/I. Hell, if ya got the money, why not. To each his (or her) own

I/H/E aren't going to give you amazing numbers on any 4 cyl. NA engine. What they can do, is raise your peak slightly, add much more area under the curve, and smooth your powerband out nicely. Since most you can only comprehend peak numbers, this probably sounds ludicrous. You own an S2000, obviously you weren't concerned about peak numbers when you bought it, why be concerned now?

BTW, AJ Racing has tested many I/H/E systems between T1R, J's Racing and others, with results adding up to +20whp. and as much as 15whp at VTEC engagement.
