It is short for Variable Gear Ratio Steering. Only available in Japan as an added option for S2000 Type V.

The high steering gear ratio on our cars are great for sharp movements but always was an issue when trying to maintain the stability when changing lane at high speed. The VGS system improves current steering system by electronically controlling the gearing ratio depending on speed. Basically somewhat close to what Porsche Active Steering System does.

BTW, VGS system adds about 40lbs more to the weight of the car.

So does "that" cars "VGS tag" add 65 HP to the wheels Why do people stick badges on cars if it doesnt have what the badge is for? Nice seat belt pads too, thats a must have item. Oh yeah the "ULTIMATE and hard to find Hardtop!" too. Nice.

Sorry for the negatvity.

Yeah, why put the VGS sticker if you don't even have atleast the VGS steering wheel. Might as well put a type-R badge along side of it as well. Atleast it's something that you can remove really easy and he didn't do anything stupid to mod the car. As far as the options and the car costing $38k...I bought mine with a hardtop and don't recall it being anywhere close to $38. I was just barely over $32. Maybe his hardtop is more Ultimate than mine.
