Thumbs up Another EDFC instalation question!

As you know I will be fitting my new Flex and the EDFC. Am planing on fitting the EDFC in the center console behind the cup holder. However the Tein distributor informed me that on a previous same instalation, they had to cut the tunnel/metal underneath the console in order the EDFC to fit in position cause it was sticking out. Is this true? I know it doesnt fit on the same level/line with the console but... is it true that it needs to be cut?

The only thing that needs to be cut is the coin holder itself on the bottom of it so you can slide the EDFC to the bottom and it will widen it up a little bit to fit it better. It will fit fine, all you need to do is cut the coin holder. At least thats what I did on my car, and I assume yours is the same.

what xclusive said...you can cut the coin holder. i would suggest however that you put like a rubber bushing or something on the metal piece under the console where the right rear corner touches the body. otherwise, the rear corner of the edfc will chip. everything sits flush.

you'll know what i mean when you take off the console, put the edfc in and see where it's touching...
