Default Another happy Invidia owner

I know this has been beaten to death, but I wanted to share my experience with the exhaust....

I bought a used Invidia V1 from a board member and it came in yesterday. A freind of mine has a lift and we put it on tonight (having the lift made it sooo easy, I wish I had my own). I have been smiling ear to ear since. So many people say it's so loud and the drone will kill you and everythign else. I was expecting it to sound like the space shuttle taking off and for my ear drums to bleed from the drone.

I was surprised that it is no where near what I would consider obnoxious. I could easily stand it louder so I may get the TP soon. Very deep tone at idle and low RPM, then all hell breaks loose after 6k. So tight and crisp sounding. IMO the best sounding S2k exhaust and I think I made a good choice.

Anyone else think that the Invidia is not so loud?

Turn your hearing aid up. j/k

I was impressed with mine too at first, as many are. Thought for sure this was not too bad. 2 years later I was done with it. Bought a nice quiet single with less drone.

Maybe that's it, I am so deaf from everything else in life I have said is "not that loud".... Stereo's, concerts, shooting range. Hey, if it all works up to the fact that my car sounds good to me I guess it's all worth going deaf

It IS loud, but far more tolerable than most of the posts you will see on here about it being so obnoxious. I love my V3, I would not have any other exhaust. The Invidia makes the car sound exactly like it should.

Where can I get one of those "hear us before you see us" badges? Is it just a copy/paste?

I finally sold mine after a year. It was awesome for a while, but then nobody wanted to ride with me because we could no longer hold a conversation. It is also good to hear my stereo again.

*shrug* I never really understood the hype either. Its a huge jump from stock to invidia but I got used to it in a week and I feel its not very loud at all. Maybe I'm going deaf?
