Default Another Honda boy going to live in japan...

I put this up in the japanese section, but i got no answers.

I was wondering, how hard is it to find a good used s2k over in japan? I'm getting stationed over on Astugi NAS in about 8 months. I was planning on buying a s2k before i got orders to there. But, now that i'm going, i'm just wondering about how hard they are to find in jdm land.

Also, has anyone on this board who's in the military brought one back from japan to the good old USA? If so, how hard was it.

Only reason i ask is cause last time i was in japan, all i saw were nissan skylines everywhere, that and alot of small cube cars. I only saw 2 honda's, an EG6 and an EK9.

I'm slightly jealous.

All those japanese chicks.

(Vortechs2k has a fetish for Asian women).

Can you bring one of those back? Preferably with a full set of straight teeth and past the age of legal consent (in Michigan, not Alabama).

Thanks!

Probably cannot bring it back. If it were possible, you would see lots of real jdm cars riding around here. Plus, the S2000 is basically the same there as it is here--why go through the hassle? Sorry I can't answer your other questions, good luck.

same there as here? heck no - they have every color combination available as well as AP2s with F20C motors, cars with VGS, the list goes on.

The car is still basically the same. Oh wait, they're right hand drive.

AP2 with F20Cs? VGS equipped cars? Completely different color combinations and options like navigation? Still basically the same? Well, if that's your logic, then my s2000 is basically the same as an enzo...hey I have doors, seats, wheels, tires, and even an engine!

The F20C in Japan also has a slightly higher compression ratio and makes 250bhp instead of the 240 that they make here.

As far as buying a used S2000, I know that in Japan you can't sell a car or engine with more than 100k miles on it. The S2000 is often a weekend car, so its possible you might find an S2000 being sold used. I'm not really sure about how hard it'd be or how expensive it'd be though ..

When I was in Tokyo last year, I saw just as many S2000s as I did Skyline GT-Rs. Not too many, about 4 of each. I think I saw more Ferraris hahaha ... I did see a lot of bimmers though
