ANOTHER new s2k owner with questions...
Hey all, I'll pick up my '01 this weekend. I'm trading my "94 NSX (30k car) am I a fool or can someone else help me justify this trade?
Anyway, I'd be interested in hearing what mods you'd make, and in what order...not looking for a track car, but would like a little extra grip and kick in the seat...what's my best bang for the buck?
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated

I think that unless your NSX is wrecked that you should not trade it in on anything........but an S2000. You made the right move. I would get good tired and suspension and maybe wheels. The get a Vompetch or a Vortech supercharger and maybe a little shot of nitrous.
I hope you like the s2000. As I recall the 94 was before the bigger engine and the targa top. If it wasn't I wouldnt' get rid of the nsx. Even if you do have a hardtop with the smaller engine it'd be hard for me to trade. The NSX is just hot IMO!
nsx is a freaking exotic, even though it only had 270 hp(3.0 liter) the car is still like a ferrari. but on the other hand, you'll be happy with the build quality of the s2k...its very similar to the nsx since they're both built in Toichigi(sp?), japan factory.
In my opinion, the only acceptable bang for your buck modification is a supercharger, or perhaps 4.44 gears.
Everything else, you're talking about gains of up to five horsepower.... if you get it tuned correctly. Some will tell you to get the V-AFC, but it's about $400 PLUS you have to get it tuned on a dyno if you want the 5-8 hp gains.
With the superchargers, you're talking about $5000 of so, but it's the only way to get an appreciable increase in horspower. The 4.44 gears, from what I hear at least, are worthwhile as well, as they completely change the character of the car in the first few gears.
