Default Another S2K is killed.... this time by wildfire

The Eaton Canyon fire killed my 2006 S2K. Structure fire of a detached garage.

My house fared worse.

Sorry to see this. A lot of tragedy this time around. LA area has so many of the great driving roads - Malibu, ACH, little T…I hope they fare OK and don’t get shut down for years on end like the Snake did after the last Malibu fire.

Losing your home in a fire, I understand, is one of the most traumatic events you can have. I am very sorry for your loss and of your neighbors.

Insurance settlement came in. $35K. About $5K less than what I've been offered in the past for it in my area. But I'm still happy.

The car in its happier days:

Glad insurance took care of you quickly. Hope the rest of the rebuilding process is painless for you and your family.
