Glad you got a good recovery.
When a fire goes through a wealthy neighborhood in SoCal, the original car culture ,you can expect a lot of fine rides to be consumed

Altadena isn't as wealthy as Palisades. Lots of the homes are generational.

Now that stuff is not on fire, and they let at least residents back in. Sadder (and closer) pics.

Sad. Crazy the fire was hot enough to melt the wheels to nothing.

It is sad. As far as the wheels melting, so do the other aluminum parts resort to liquid as well. I have seen a lot of post fire photos, as I live in an extreme fire area, and it is common to see bright, shiny frozen rivers of aluminum from the husks of what was an automobile. It looks like blood from a body at a Netflix crime scene drama.

Yeah, if you can see through the gaps of what remains of the garage door, the hood is gone. The hood is the only body panel on the S2000 that's aluminum.

The engine block is toast.

maybe you can get some of the wreckage (melted metal or something) to make a memorial plaque or something.

I helped recover a crashed Blackhawk that went into the FL inter coastal during a training mission. We cobbled together some of the twisted billet aluminum and steel and a couple other artifacts and made a small memorial plaque that still hangs in the dive shop.

Utter destruction in a matter of minutes.

Thanks for posting these. It must be painful.

That's an amazing series of photos... I'm glad you're OK and able to get back on your feet. The aluminum melted huh?
