Manny, sorry to here that. Hopefully you were not hurt, which is the important thing.

As for getting rid of the car, only you can decide that, but based on how active you are on these boards and the amount of customization you've done to your car, I'd say you have to stick with the s2k.

Good luck -- Tom

BTW - where did this happen?

Manny,

Very sorry to hear about that , like Tom said, most important is that you're okay.

PM me, I know of at least two excellent places where they can bring the car back like new (I have a connection at both shops).

After appropriate self-flaggelation, change to another tire. I like AVS Sports.

I don't really want to get rid of the car cause i'm too much in love with it, but at the same time i get too many tickets with it and i tend to want to race more with this car which is something i've been trying to steer away from but just can't help myself sometimes. then i think about how much money i've put into it and how much i enjoy drivin around in it. this is also my second accident...the other was totally not my fault but this one will probably end up being my fault.

this happened on route 18 near New Brunswick which as you might know is a poorly paved road to begin with. the funny thing is i missed the exit for the NJ turnpike which would have avoided everything but i was forced on to 18 and the rest is history.

no one was hurt...not me, not my passenger and not the guy from the other car. just a note for everyone...the s2k holds up really well in accidents...you're actually very safe in this car in my opinion.

if i do get it fixed i'm going to go to the guy who fixed my car the first time around...he did an amazing job from the first accident. hopefully i'll have the car back before the end of summer but i was planning to drive up to mass. for labor day but i guess not anymore...have to find another mode of trans for that weekend.

thanks for your support guys...should i decide to get rid of the car all my customized pieces are in great shape except for my front spoiler.

Sorry man. Lost mine last week. Someone suggested that we start a new club for S2K owners with cars in the shop. Glad that you are OK.

Does anyone have a count of how many S2000s have been bent?
It seems like every day there is a new story.

Hey just my 2 cents. There have been no other cars in my past that make me feel good just sitting behind the wheel of the S2K. A bad day at home or the office melts away at 6K. I find excuses to take her out, and I know that no other car would do this for me. It would be an easy answer for me. However you need to weigh the costs of ownership in your case. I'm not sure my insurance company would give me a choice if I was sporting the same history in this vehicle. Perhaps this last incident will change that need to race emotion. Drive hard, drive smart but drive it long!
