With all the pollen in the air, even after i wash my car pollen immediately starts sticking to my s2k. say if i pull down the top with pollen on it, will it cause damage or is it better to just wait and clean it off before trying to pull the top down? how sensitive is the top, how easy is it to damage it?

i would remove the pollen asap-
and especially from the body of the car...
it might stain the clearcoat. if its on your top, its on your car too.
the top is pretty tough- it is vinyl. but you still dont want stuff sitting on it for extended times so that they can embed in it.
if you have vinyl protection on the top you are less likely to have any long-term problems (use vinylex or 303 for some level of protection).
