Default Another top tear thread

I just bought a 2006 S2000. It has 30 more days on the original factory warranty and then 1 extra year on a Honda certified warranty. Before I bought it - I checked for any top wear and did not see any. I have had it for 1 month and I am seeing wear behind the driver side (the usual wear spot per other threads) and a near hole on the passenger side (warn thru the inner layer). Is it worth it to have Honda look at it before it wears thru or do I just wait until I have a hole and take it in? Anybody have any previous experience with warranty repair/replacement?
Thanks
Kurt

Thanks for the replys. My next question is will they try to repair it or replace it if I take it in with a near complete tear (but not all the way thru). Or should I wait until it tears comepletly(but still get in before warranty expires) so they have to replace it.

they should replace it.. even if the fix the issue and they dont replace it you still have spots where they are more likely to tear. Then down the road later when the top rips in the exact same place as the wear spots there gonna say they fixed the problem and then you are SOL.

They will replace. A new TSB was issued only a few days ago for 05+ S2000s

The Honda dealer ordered a new top!
Now how do I prevent it from happening again? Hopefully the dealer will fix the cause.

Make sure they read the TSB and do all the steps in it.
