Driver still "critical" after 1-car crash

BASS RIVER: A 25-year-old driver injured in a car accident that killed his passenger remained in critical condition Monday, according to a nursing supervisor at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

Joseph F. Campos of Bayport, N.Y., has been in the hospital's trauma unit since Saturday morning, when the sports car he was driving left the Garden State Parkway's southbound lanes, struck several trees and then became engulfed in flames, police have said.

The passenger, whose identity had not been confirmed by the State Police as of Monday, was trapped in the 2003 Honda S2000 and later died.

Campos was ejected and was found several feet from the car in a wooded area, according to police.

Not sure what your point is here, this was already posted in Metro NY where it could have some relevance.

Are you inferring that NJ is full young drivers incapable of keeping their

I wasn't trying to make any point. It's called information, digest it any way you want. The facts are the facts. Within the past couple weeks a young driver from NJ died speeding in his S2000; and, now we have 2nd.

I think it is relevant, It should go as a reminder and a wake up call to those that don't take the time to know the limits if this or any vehicle.
I don't know the specifics on this terrible crash and my thoughts and prayers go out to all involved!

So what your saying is the only thing of relevance is local news...

Wow, I did not know that, silly me I'm fascinated by news coming out now in France over the FIA hearing over the Indy race, I guess that is not important, thanks for the tip.

I wonder what they were doing that caused them to leave the highway in the first place? It does not really say.

Actually, I find it so interesting I can't think of anything else right now. Maybe we can get somebody to post a link to every news story where someone is in an automobile accident. Then, I could spend my whole day reading about them!
