Default Antenna Question?

I will be picking up a new 2005 Sebring Red/Black tomorrow. I have a question. I have purchased a Weathershield car cover(No garage at the moment). It does not have a hole for the antenna to go through. The instructions say to remove the antenna or cut a hole. Does the S2000 antenna screw off?

My weathershield came with it sewn in......seems strange. I'm actually on my second one and the both had the thing for the antenna.

BTW, yes the antenna is removable. Many S2K owners have found out the hard way...........because some punks removed it for them.

VW owners love them too because without them their cars look like a character from the teletubbies

My car cover doesn't have the hole either...

I decided to use the cover without unscrewing the antenna. Big mistake...the very first time I removed the cover after overnight storage, the antenna was distorted. Even though I don't use the cover anymore...the antenna no longer has that erect quality and remains in a permanent flaccid state.

The bright side is...I doubt anyone will want to steal a "flaccid" antenna

Actually I straightened mine by bending it back into shape. Play with it long enough and you can get it erect again.
