Cast them out of lead in your backyard, chances are, they will be lighter

 

actually......the 309's in 18x10 are only about 1/2 lbs heavier then the Volk GT-7 in 18x10, which are supposedly a lightweight japanese racing wheel.

The GT-7 is a 2 piece wheel. Forged outside / Cast inside. Try putting it next to the CE28N or TE37. Which are monoblock full forged. Huge difference.

 

I'm sure this is a huge difference.
Do those wheels come in 18x10?
