Default Any bad experiences with safelite?

I got my windshield replaced today by safelite and they did a horrible job. The weatherstripping has gaps, the black border on the inside sticks out 1/2 in on one side a 1/4 on the other, the cowl doesn't rest on glass, they sliced the crap out of drivers side a-pillar trim. Now, I'm not completely opposed to aftermarket hardware but I expect it to be the same or better quality. There are no words to express how annoyed I am with the "good enough" mentality of the installer.

They've always done a great job at repairs for me, but never replacing the whole thing. Take it to their shop and talk to the manager; if it's as bad as you say, there shouldn't be any question in fixing it.

I am going back tomorrow to hopefully rectify the situation. Can someone do me a huge favor and post close up pics of these two angles so I can bring them with me to show a comparison?

looks to me like you should stop by the wash and wax forum to get advice on those swirls on your hood after you get the glass fixed-
we can help you fix your paint!!

By the way nice dash CF

When I had a rock go through my window GEICO also recommended safelight auto glass company or something to that effect..

When I called them they quoted me 3575 for parts and labor not a typo 3575..

Eventually had a local glass place do my window he was recommended by the local dealership (Huntsville AL) and even did the R&R in one of the dealerships heated bays to ensure the glass was held at the correct temp for 24 hrs to make sure the new epoxy cured properly.
The dealership even pre ordered the trim in case it was going to be needed at no charge to me.

Cost was only 375 for everything. He even replace the glass with PPG which is stronger than the OEM factory glass.
