Default Any Canadians with engine failure?

Any Canadians out have had an engine failure? If so, how was Honda Canada? Did they give you a hard time? Did they blame it on an over-rev? Did they say it was your fault?

My confidence in the F20C wains everyday. Eventhough I have the extended warrantee, in the event of an engine failure, I don't want any push back by Honda Canada.

How has your experience been with Honda Canada?

A friend of mine, REV9K, had an engine failure. Do a search, you will find the thread he started a while back.

Yikes, not looking good in that thread. It is a good thing they covered his engine. I don't know about you guys but $15 000 is a bit much for me, I'd probably end up taking the bus if I had to shell out that much where warrantee wasn't covered.

No matter how much I love this car and baby it, if it can't go the distance, Nissan or Lexus will have a S to sell.

True, I have more information at hand with my gauges but my gauges might give them a reason to give me a hard time for warrantee. I'll also start an oil analysis program so will be able to tell if my engine starts to have a scored cyclinders with the Al. content count. Oh yes, I am crazy but if I see any hint of engine breakdown, she'll find a new home at the dealership.

Yes, you taught me lots in terms of maintenance and I think I go over board but with the S, its high strung nature requires attention and care.

Hello,

I've got a Honda S 2000, it's having problems of power. It's lost power sometimes.
I know that Honda called back some S 2000 for engine's problems.
Have you hear something about that.

Thanks

JC

You should try posting this in your European sub-forum to see if those members have these issues as their cars will be more similar to yours.
Can you be more specific about "sometimes"? Are you sure you are not simply encountering the rev limiter at around 6000 rpm when the engine has not reached operating temperature?
I know that you guys over there have had the spark plug recall, the oil jet bolt recall. It is uncertain if these recalls had anything to do with those examples of engine failures.
