Any differences between the dash board over the years?
I have an AP2v2 and the previous owner put a dash mat on the car and the adhesive on the velcro pads have ruined the dash (unless some one has some miracle dash restoration technique, I've tried about every adhesive remover).
I want to replace the dash but I want to know if I can get an AP1 or AP2v1 dash as that will improve my odds of finding a dash greatly. I looked at some pictures and they look the same on the exterior, so is there anything under the dash that would prevent me from using an dash from a previous version? I don't want to do any cutting or drilling.
Once I have the dash replaced I'll have a dash that would be a good candidate for flocking if anyone wants it.

Ohh I didn't know the dash pocket wasn't on earlier models. Looks like from some quick googling that the pocket doesn't just bolt into the earlier cars so the dashes must be different. Thanks for your help. I'll keep an eye out for an AP2v2 dash.
It is correct that the dash board does have a pocket. But it looks like the OP is trying to expand his fitment options. I have fitted a 2006+ dash in a AP1 before without a problem.
door panels will also fit the same across all years.
