I love my test pipe, I have had one on now for about 2 years. Makes the VTEC transition smoother and makes the car sound a lot better. Glad everyone has come around to liking them, when I got mine everyone was bitching about harming the environment.

Some tracks have sound regulations that I don't even know if the T1R with a test pipe would pass.

Does the same as a TP...but at half the decibel level.

i knew the fines were stiff but not $2500! luckily they don't go after the individual as much as the corporations but that is still something to think about.
i want one btw

WARNING: Federal law makes it illegal for ANYONE to tamper with, disconnect, remove or otherwise render inoperative ANY emissions-related control device. The Environmental Protection Agency and most states have actually been rather lax about enforcing this rule on motorists, but they haven't hesitated to nail professional service facilities that have been guilty of tampering. Even so, the fines can be hefty. A violation may make you liable for up to a $2,500 fine!

I believe I remember reading that unless you're 'charged, using a testpipe is not that beneficial. I bought into that and sold mine. Less than a year later, I got sc'd and want/need a testpipe. Oh, the irony of it all!
