Default Any insight on my suspension problem?

Hey guys, lately a problem has come about with my rear suspension. Something is causing my rear tires to rub. The result is that the edges of the rear tires are slightly damaged. The noise is very noticable (you can also smell the tires when it rubs) and only happens when going over unlevel pavement, bumps, or when getting on the gas quickly (when the car "digs"). I have Eibach springs right now and the rest is stock. Are my rear shocks or struts worn out? I will be taking it in in a day or so, but I just wanted to get an idea of what I am looking at. The springs have been on for about 6k miles or so. Thanks for any help!

Matt

My guess would have to be your shocks are worn out....considering yur car is a MY00.Are you the original owner...?If not who knows what the original owner did with the car.

don't think shocks would have anything to do with rubbing.

Noticed you have aftermarket wheels too. What are the specs on those? Perhaps something knocked your car out of alignment, causing weird camber.

The rear tires are 255/35/18. The right rear started to rub a little before the left did.

that's almost definitely the cause!

given that all you know is they are 18s, I'm sure you don't know how wide they are, much less the offset.

very few rims are actually compatible with the S2000. It isn't as simple as "find the right size and bolt pattern and away we go."

Why is the offset important? Because you want the axis the wheels pivot on to be as close to the original position as possible.

So assuming this is the problem, what would be a solution? Any camber kits out for our cars?
