Default Any prepping before driving an S

That hasn't been driven in over a month? I'm picking up my S tomorrow morning and I need to make sure I do everything right.

1 Insert key in ignition
2 Push start button
3 Put shifter in first
4 GO!

when I don't drive a car for a while I warm it up nicely at low speeds (almost like I do with it every day, but for a little longer) then I go out and do a few low to high speed runs to clear everything out.

Probably not a necessary process, but it makes me feel better Have fun!

Check you oil before starting up. Check tire pressures. Start it and let it warm up fully before driving it.

If you know it's going to sit for a long time there's a few thing you can do to "store" it -- jack it up, put it on a trickle charger, add fuel stabilizer.

Check the fluid levels first

Start it and let it warm up to operating temp before driving it.

If you don't drive your S in the winter you should at least run it every 3-5 days for 10-15 minutes (operating temp) to keep the fluids circulated and the injectors form gunking up.

I've heard different opinions from a different post.
The member said that one shouldn't occasionally start the car just to warm up since it's a stressful process for the engine.

And for the warming up process, I was recommended to drive slowly after about 2-3 minutes rather than letting it idle for 10 mins to warm up.

I'm not trying to start an argument, just letting you know the different opinions I've heard.

Be sure you know where the gas tank switch is.

IIRC, starting the car to just idle in the driveway periodicaly while stored is not recomended. This may even be stated in the manual, but I don't have mine with me right now. I believe it is due to the harshness of a start when the oil has completely drained to the pan, and because of condensation issues of some sort. The best idea for storing is the jack stands and only starting it at the end of the storage period after checking the fluids and air pressure. Also, allowing for a complete warm up like stated above is ideal. If one is worried about the battery, a trickle charger can be used. Sacrificing the motor by making several rough starts just to save the battery is foolish.

Start the car up, put your seatbelt on, check mirrors, and drive off. Driving heats the engine and transmission and is the recommended way to warm up the car. If the car's been sitting, the tires will need to warm up to and regain their roundness as they'll probably have flattened out a bit.

that really is a logical argument.

There is an old thread that some in NE forum live by since we have quite a long winter and they store their cars. Personaly, I drive year round, just not in harsh weather. Here's the storage link:
