Personally i like the wing and white wheels. My own car will eventually get a wing and wheels i ordered are white so its kinda nice seeing a car that at least has a similar scheme to know that i'll like how my car will look (just different parts).

However, the wing did force the PO to drill i not any of the stock areas. You could attempt to cover the holes with something like 3m and then get an OEM trunk spoiler to cover the holes if you dont like the wing. And then sell the wing to help cover some cost.

Honestly i'm less worried about the exterior mods and am more curious about the engine and how its running. For 17 years old i would definetly get a mechanic to look at the car and see what needs to be fixed. Doublecheck the TCT and the Master Clutch cylinder as those are common fail points. Also there are some specific AP1 failure points that i'm not specific on but browse through the forums a bit and you''ll read about them. Other than that, if everything is mechanically sound i dont see why you shouldnt go for this car (unless you despise the wheels and wing).

Wow! Just booted the site up and found an overwhelming amount of advice! Thank you all so much. The 2 exterior mods aren't too much of a turn off to me. For the price the wheels would be replaced sooner than later. I too noticed the drilled holes for the ricey wing.... That does concern me a bit, but I think it could be repaired. Is the general consensus that 12k is fair assuming the running condition of the car is sound? I spent hours pouring over buyers guides last night so I feel pretty comfortable at what to look for a when to walk away. Again, thank you all so so much!

Personally I'd say 12k is a very good price. Its most likely priced that way due to the wing on the back. But as I said, its not a hard fix and those holes would be covered by the OEM spoiler (not the wing). I'd say maybe budget an extra 2000$ for mechanical fixes so overall 14k for a car in this condition is a great value in my opinion.

Appears asheville has some good prices on very low mileage s2000's. Worth a look.

Being a fairly common color as well, it's possible you could find someone on the forum here who would be willing to trade you for a stock rear trunk with no holes in it also! Maybe cash on top too if the spoiler is a solid brand
