Default any suggestions

every time i take off from a stop the car burps blue smoke out of the exhaust, also on hot starts the engine has a pretty noticable tap. does anyone know what this could be?

its a little bit below full i just changed the oil last week.

What, exactly, did you use when you changed it? Some of the super lightweight synthetics might not be viscous enough.

Correct me if I am wrong, but blue smoke when the oil level and grade are normal is excessive burning of oil in exhaust gasses, correct?

Blue smoke means oil is leaking past the piston rings and being burned along with the fuel. In addition, you could have fuel leaking in the opposite direction and mixing with oil, decreasing the oil's ability to lubricate. But I'm no mechanic..
