Since we have such a long slender hood, the hood stick only holds it at a 45 degree angle. This makes it tough to work on the engine and for lighting. Any suggestions on what I can use to hold the hood up higher?
I remember in the Type-R you can put the hood nearly vertical...

Default Raise hood further

There is a cool trick that does exactly that. Check out the Wheeler Dealers episode below. Go to the 19:00 mark. It's pretty cool.

Pretty much all Hondas have a "service position" of the hood.

You just need to re-position the hood prop.

What about some struts like Lexus' have to hold the hood up. What would save you the double prop problem... I'm helping to keep the zombie alive I guess...

Eh, some thread bumps are worth it. I am positive there are people who are just finding out about this trick. I had mine for a year before realizing it.
